Over time and plenty of use, your tile and grout will begin to fade and become discolored with dirt and residue build-up. Household cleaners just won't restore the tile and grout to it's original condition the same way that hiring an experienced professional will, especially if the tile hasn't been cleaned in a while. Ordinary household cleaners won't get rid of all the stains and bacteria on tile and grout. Only rigorous cleaning by an experienced grout and tile cleaner will make your tile shine like new.
There is no simple answer to this question. The time between each professional tile and grout cleaning depends on the amount of traffic in the home. Larger families with children and pets may have to have their tile and grout cleaned more regularly than smaller families. If a sealant is applied to the grout in your home, it won't need to be cleaned as regularly, but a basic rule of thumb is that you should aim to have your tile and grout serviced once every two to five years.
Definitely! Our tile and grout deep cleaning method can be used on very old tile and grout that hasn't been cleaned properly for some time. We work on all kinds of tile floors including bathrooms, kitchens and walkways in private homes or larger commercial buildings.
We guarantee that if you use proper maintenance, the color seal can last for the life of the tile.
No. It's very important to us here at New-Again Tile & Grout Restoration that every product we use is safe to you and the environment.
Not a problem. Any cracked tile can be replaced, and any damaged grout can be repaired. Once the color seal is applied the entire surface is uniform.
For the first 2 hours heavy traffic should be avoided. Normal activity can resume after 6 hours.
The best and only recommended cleaner that should be used to clean a sealed surface is a Ph Neutral cleaner. They are affordable and can be purchased through us or can be found at your local hardware stores.
To allow proper curing time:
After a re-caulking process your shower cannot be used for 24 hours.
After a full re-grouting process you must wait at least 3 days before using your shower again.
With the proper maintenance, most re-grouts can last upwards of ten years.
Most projects can be done in one day, so you can return to your normal routine as soon as possible.
Absolutely. It is highly recommended to color seal new grout in order to provide the best protection for your new investment.
The color sealer is only meant to seal the grout. Ceramic and porcelain tiles are not absorbent like grout. So, any excess sealer is easily buffed off the tile at the end of the process.
Yes, however, some natural stones are too porous and are not good candidates for the color sealing process.
We clean and restore marble, slate, granite, and many other types of natural stone. However, a cleaning is just that. In many cases your expectations may be more then the results that a cleaning can achieve. If you are looking to restore your marble floor back to its brilliant, highly reflective shine, than a marble polish is what you need. This does not include a grinding process that is used to eliminate deep scratches. But if you’re floor has just lost its luster, than a powder polish will bounce it back to its natural, radiant look. Our process includes special polishing powders and a buffing machine, which will get rid of minor scratches on your stone’s surface, and will restore your floor to its beautiful reflective shine.
First we apply degreaser to remove as much oil and grease as possible. Then the entire floor surface is scrubbed with our floor machine, or with our high pressure tile and grout cleaning system depending on the condition of your floor. We then extract all the dirty water and chemicals and rinse your floor clean. After the floor is dried, a grout sealer is applied to protect your investment, and will make future cleanings as easy as possible. Results can be seen instantly!
